How can you capture the attention of homebuyers in today’s competitive market? With an increasing number of homes available, standing out is crucial if you want to sell your house for more money. Here are some tips to make your house the obvious choice over other houses in the neighborhood:

1 – Focus on marketing. Is your agent following the traditional real estate plan where they place a sign in the yard, put your listing on the MLS, and then pray and hope for the best? We call this the “three P’s:” place, put, and pray.

2 – Upgrade your curb appeal. Improving your curb appeal doesn’t have to be complicated. Simply hiring a landscaper to mow and tidy your front yard can make a big difference, even if you have some dead grass or weeds. Once inside, give your home a deep clean. Our team can help get your house show-ready right before picture day, ensuring it sparkles when it hits the market.

3 – Home readiness consultation. We offer a home readiness consultation at no extra cost to our clients.  When I meet with families, they often ask how to get their home show-ready. I always respond that while I excel at marketing and selling homes, our properties typically sell for 3% more than those handled by traditional realtors. I’m not a staging expert.
